Celebrate 50 Years of Library Service by Supporting Your CMBCL!
Dear Library Friend,
This year marks five decades since a group of local residents came together to create your nonprofit Cedar Mill Community Library. You may remember some of those early years spent checking out donated books. Or maybe you “grew up in the library” as so many people tell us they have. Maybe you even helped us establish the Bethany branch. Or perhaps you’re a recent library member. In that case, we’re glad you’ve joined us! You certainly have fond memories of time spent enjoying library materials.
You’re a part of the 50-year history of the nonprofit Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Libraries Association!
Libraries create a future that we can all look forward to. Over the past five decades, our library has been a beacon of knowledge, a sanctuary of learning, and a hub of inspiration for all who walk through our doors.
However, as we reflect on our journey so far, we are also mindful of the challenges that lie ahead. In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the importance of libraries as pillars of education and culture cannot be understated. Your generous donation can ensure that our libraries remain vibrant and accessible resources for another fifty years and beyond.
Here’s what your anniversary gift can give to your community libraries:
- $50: Three Children’s books
- $100: Two Adult Bestsellers
- $250: Storytime for Fifty Kids
- $500: a Hundred Preschool Play and Learn Projects
Celebrate fifty years with us by making an anniversary gift today. Thank you for being a supporting member of your community libraries association!
With gratitude,

Peter Leonard, Executive Director
P.S. Your steadfast support of libraries create a future that we can all be proud of!
