Meeting Rooms
The Cedar Mill & Bethany Community Libraries (CMBCL), in the interest of building a better, more connected community, offer public meeting rooms to local non-commercial, nonprofit organizations, and community groups as available. Reservation requests are managed by library staff according to the Libraries’ Meeting Room Policy. All users of the library are expected to follow the Libraries’ Behavior Policy.
Key Points
- Failure to abide by library policies, including misrepresenting yourself or the group in the reservation form, is cause for denial of use of the meeting rooms.
- The adult completing this form is responsible for following the Meeting Room Policy.
- All reservations require a valid email account to receive notices of the status of your request. Requests are reviewed within 48 hours. No reservation is confirmed until you receive an Approval email from library staff.
Reservations
- Adults 18 years or older must make a reservation.
- Groups must be 6 or more attendees meeting in person and reservation time is capped at 3 hours
- Groups are allowed only 1 booking per calendar month total between the two libraries.
- Reservations can be made at least 7 days in advance and up to 60 days in advance.
Room Use
- No food allowed; covered beverages permitted.
- Events with minors (persons under 18 years of age) must be supervised by 2 adults, 1 of which must be 21 years of age or older.
- Rooms may not be used for monetary solicitation, sale of items or services, or fundraising activities unless to benefit CMBCL.
- Rooms may not be used for events such as birthday and anniversary parties, weddings, baby showers, funerals, or other personal celebrations. Recitals, rehearsals, exercise-related activities, and individual practice sessions are not permitted.
