Your Community, Your Libraries

Did you know that your libraries are a nonprofit? Usually, library buildings and services are funded by cities. Located in an unincorporated area, the Cedar Mill and Bethany communities are not eligible for city funding. That didn’t stop local residents from opening a nonprofit library in 1976! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Libraries Association relies on direct support from members like you to fund library services not covered by county funding. Ways to Donate to Your Community Libraries

Your Support  Allows Your Libraries to:

  • Provide free access to books, media and educational programs, databases and services.

  • Host literacy and skill-building events that promote confidence and inclusion.

  • Offer programs and series that help parents give their children the best start in reading.

  • Deliver books and library cards to schools, day care facilities and family care centers.

  • Develop school readiness and a love of learning in local kids.

  • Foster a sense of community and encourage community involvement through outreach, partnerships and volunteerism.
