Our Library of Things collection offers non-traditional items for patrons to borrow. The goal of this collection is to present our community with opportunities for lifelong learning and personal enrichment.
Things check out for between one and three weeks and are holdable and renewable. Items must be picked up and returned to their home location. Replacement costs may apply if a Thing is returned broken or with missing parts.

Seed Library
Our Seed Library is intended to help preserve and promote our green spaces and rural heritage while making our community more pollinator friendly. Our hope is to give everyone the resources you need to create or expand your own garden.
You don't need a library card to take seeds home, just visit us at Cedar Mill or Bethany Library.
Cedar Mill Library
The Seed Library is near the board game collection.
Please only take 3 seed packets per family per month.
Donations can be placed in the bottom shelf of the seed library. Larger donations can be dropped off at the front desk.
Bethany Library
The Seed Library is in a box by the newspapers.
Please only take 3 seed packets per family per month.
Donations can be dropped off at the front desk.
Donating Seeds
We happily accept donated seeds at both libraries all year round, including vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, and native seeds.
- Seeds must be no more than 3 years old.
- Please seal seed packets. Partially used packets can be re-sealed.
- Seeds in the donated packet must match the packet they are donated in. Please do not mix seeds from various packets.
- If you are donating seeds saved from your own garden, please fill out a donation form. These forms are also available at the library.
