Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is the second book in a series about a girl named Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire.  Katniss shares the victory of the 74th Hunger Games with Peeta Mellark. It is now a year later and Katniss and Peeta discover there will be a Victors Tour of the previous winners of  the Hunger Games from each district. As Peeta and Katniss move through the districts, Katniss has a feeling that a rebellion is creeping up. However, President Snow believes he controls all the Hunger Games rules, including the upcoming 75th Hunger Games. Will Katniss Everdeen survive her second Hunger Games and play against the rules to save the victors? Or will President Snow and the Gamesmakers defeat her and play Katniss as their pawn?

Catching Fire is a great sequel to the Hunger Games and the author, Suzanne Collins did a rare thing of making the second book even more suspenseful and engrossing. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dystopian, adventure, and thrilling novels and would rate this a definite 5/5 stars! This book won the Goodreads Choice Awards Young Adult Series and the Goodreads Choice Awards All-Time Favorite.
