Your library card entitles you to use all the public libraries in Washington County as a member of the Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS), as well as access to libraries around the country through our interlibrary loan service. Library cards are free to all residents of Washington, Multnomah, Clackamas and Hood River counties in Oregon or in the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District or the City of Camas in Washington.

Fill out an application and visit the library with a photo ID plus something with your current residence address on it, such as a driver’s license, mail addressed to you, utility bill or rental agreement.

Don’t have a card yet, but want to access services such as e-books, cultural passes, and online resources? Washington County residents can apply online. E-access cards can be converted to full access cards by visiting the library with appropriate ID and a print application (PDF).

If you are an Oregon resident, you may be able to take advantage of the Oregon Passport Program to get a free limited access WCCLS library card. You must be a resident of a participating library system in Oregon. Find a list of participating libraries here. Not a resident or don’t have library service where you live? Non-resident cards are available for a yearly fee. Read more about the different card types, or inquire at the library for details.
Library cards can be issued to anyone regardless of age. Children from birth to age 10 need to apply for a library card with their parent/guardian or bring an application signed by their parent, copy of parent’s photo ID and proof of address. Children 10 and older may apply with their own ID, such as a school ID card, and proof of address or apply with their parent’s ID and proof of address.
