Ready to pick up your holds? If you received a notification that your holds are ready for pickup, please visit us during any of our open hours. We will keep your holds on our shelves for 10 days after they arrive.

Things to know when you visit

  • Please bring your library card or ID for checkout.
  • If you are picking up holds for other library card users, please bring their library card or account number with you.
  • Mask required for entry. Staff will be wearing masks for your protection.
  • Please maintain appropriate physical distance with others.
  • Entry is limited; please follow staff instructions.
  • Some areas of the library remain closed to the public (including shelves containing items on hold, meeting rooms and staff work areas). Open areas include the majority of library collections, internet stations and restrooms.

Do I need to wear a mask when picking up my holds?
Yes. Staff will also be wearing masks for your protection.

When can I return items?
Book drops are open 24/7. Larger items must be returned during holds pickup service hours.

Why does an item I returned still say it’s checked out to me?
If an item is still on your account a week after its return, please contact library staff to inquire about its status.

Can I request items for checkout? Yes! Place holds in our online catalog at wccls.org. Want to find something new? Check out our New & Notable page for ideas, or have staff pick for you with our Handpicked service. Looking for something not in our catalog? Try our Interlibrary Loan service.

Can I browse materials while visiting the library? Updated 4/20/21. Yes! During our open hours, you may visit our Express Browsing area inside the library. Access is managed just like holds pickup, and occupancy is limited due to county and state requirements. Thank you for your patience as we provide service to as many patrons as possible.

Can I get assistance with a question? Yes! We are available by phone, email, or in-person seven days a week.

Can I pay a fee on my account? Yes, for faster service, account fees can be paid online at wccls.org or you are always welcome to get assistance during your next visit. If you have questions about charges on your account, please contact us.

Can I come into the library? Yes! During our open hours, a majority of our library collections are accessible for browsing. Express Internet stations and restrooms are also available. There are occupancy and time limits that follow health authority guidelines. Some areas of the library remain closed to the public (including items on hold, meeting rooms, and staff work areas).
