Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need to wear a mask when picking up my holds?
Yes. Staff will also be wearing masks for your protection.
When can I return items?
Book drops are open 24/7. Larger items must be returned during holds pickup service hours.
Why does an item I returned still say it’s checked out to me?
If an item is still on your account a week after its return, please contact library staff to inquire about its status.
Can I request items for checkout? Yes! Place holds in our online catalog at wccls.org. Want to find something new? Check out our New & Notable page for ideas, or have staff pick for you with our Handpicked service. Looking for something not in our catalog? Try our Interlibrary Loan service.
Can I browse materials while visiting the library? Updated 4/20/21. Yes! During our open hours, you may visit our Express Browsing area inside the library. Access is managed just like holds pickup, and occupancy is limited due to county and state requirements. Thank you for your patience as we provide service to as many patrons as possible.
Can I get assistance with a question? Yes! We are available by phone, email, or in-person seven days a week.
Can I pay a fee on my account? Yes, for faster service, account fees can be paid online at wccls.org or you are always welcome to get assistance during your next visit. If you have questions about charges on your account, please contact us.
Can I come into the library? Yes! During our open hours, a majority of our library collections are accessible for browsing. Express Internet stations and restrooms are also available. There are occupancy and time limits that follow health authority guidelines. Some areas of the library remain closed to the public (including items on hold, meeting rooms, and staff work areas).
