Diverse Reads

Join a community of readers in exploring a variety of written works, including short stories, nonfiction, poetry and fiction that fairly represent the perspectives of marginalized groups. Diverse Reads covers an array of topics, including immigration, indigenous ecological knowledge, and invisible disabilities. All selections are short, and typically take about 1-2 hours.

Discussions take place the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m on Zoom. Readings are posted here and on event page. Registration required to receive the Zoom link. Register online today via

Our kits make hosting your own book club easier than ever. Each kit includes 8-10 copies of a book, background information about the author, sample discussion questions and more!  Kits are available for loan throughout the county, and have a six week checkout period.
