The Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Libraries are searching for an enthusiastic professional to join our team.
Cedar Mill & Bethany Community Libraries serve the unincorporated communities of Washington County, less than 10 miles from downtown Portland. Our libraries are members of Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) that provides funding, technology, courier, and other vital support.
Our libraries are much-loved community assets, started by volunteers, who remain essential to the function of the library. Our diverse community values learning and is growing.
You know and love reading and library resources and yearn to share that expertise and enthusiasm with the community. As a librarian, you are skillful at assessing and responding to community and individual needs and always looking for ways to empower users and coworkers through effective communication, collaboration, program development and training.

Hiring range starts at $25.67 per hour for a schedule of 32 hours per week. Benefits include 90% employer- paid Kaiser Health insurance, including Vision. 100% Dental insurance. Life and Disability insurance, and paid personal and sick time provided. Health and Child care Flexible Spending Accounts are offered. Library contributes to a 403(b) retirement plan after 1 year but employees may contribute sooner. The position is based at the main Cedar Mill Library. It requires some work at our Bethany Library.
