Summer is a great time to read what you like, learn new things, and have fun! Read Beyond the Beaten Path is our Summer Reading program for all ages! Summer Reading launches on June 1st.
Summer reading is simple for kids from birth through fifth grade! Set a reading goal, read or be read to, and track your reading progress using Beanstack (an online reading program) or our printed reading log.
Between July 15 and August 31, stop by Cedar Mill or Bethany Library, report your completed your goal, and choose a free prize book to take home! Find more details on our summer reading kids page. We’ll have in-person storytimes and free events for all ages throughout the summer- see our events calendar. Are you a teen or adult? You can participate in summer reading too!
Join us for an after-hours Summer Reading Festival, on Friday June 24 from 6-8 pm at Cedar Mill Library. Kids can make crafts, play carnival games, play giant board games like Jenga and more. Adults can enter to win several great raffle prizes.
