Did you know we love helping you and your family find good books? Our youth librarians have great recommendations for all ages, from babies and toddlers to teens.
On our booklists page, we have picture booklists by theme. Need suggestions to help your preschooler navigate her world? Reading stories about life experiences helps children cope and grow. Little Parachutes is another wonderful resource we love. Topics include sibling rivalry, friendship, anxiety, medical issues, adoption, kindness, fear of darkness and many more.
Is your child in school? Check out the early readers (great for kids learning to read on their own!), chapter book recommendations by age and genre, as well as recommendations for teens.
Want books at your child’s reading level? Our Leveled Booklist page offers titles by IRLA Level (the reading system used by the Beaverton School District and other schools). Our libraries even have emergent readers for kids in K-1st grade located in our Learn To Read Collection.
We continue to improve our online booklists so check back for updates! Feel free to stop by the Cedar Mill or Bethany libraries to browse the collection, talk with a librarian and let us know how we can help.
