Our community came together to read a whooping total of 28,032 hours during our winter reading challenge! WOW! FIVE bee hives have been ordered through Heifer International in honor of this effort.
Bees benefit the environment, communities, and people! According to Heifer International, farmers that keep bees are able to harvest honey during the non growing season to earn extra income. Bees also help stimulate growth of other crops through pollination, among other benefits.
Congratulations and thank you to all who participated in Winter Reading this year, including local schools: Bethany, Cedar Mill, Findley, Jacob Wismer, Rock Creek, Springville, Terra Linda, West TV!
