Join us for early literacy based storytimes for kids from birth to preschool. Click on the schedule to find an age appropriate storytime for your child.

Parent Information Series  February 20-May 15 Join us for one or all of this parenting series at Cedar Mill Library. All sessions are free, no registration required. Adults only.

THPRD Nature Mobile Friday, January 4 from 10:30 am-12:00 pm, Wednesday, February 13 from 2:30-4:00 pm. Wednesday, March 13 from 2:30-4:00 pm: The Nature Mobile brings the environment to the library! Each month features exciting new ways for your child to explore nature. Ages 5 and up

kids smiling singingPreschool Play Group 2nd Fridays January 11, February 8 and March 8 from 10:30-11:15 am: A drop-in program for kids ages 3-5 to make new friends and learn skills to get ready for kindergarten. No registration required.

Early Reader Club Sundays, January 13 and 27 from 1-2 pm: Enjoy stories and fun activities for new readers in grades K-2nd. No registration required.

Chinese New Year Craft Tuesday, February 5 all day: Celebrate Chinese New Year (“Year of the Pig”) by making a clothespin pig craft. Take a coloring sheet home. All ages.

Kids Pokemon Party Saturday, February 9 from 10:30 am-12:00 pm, drop-in for ages 6-10. Bring your cards or DS and share your love of Pokemon with others.

Valentine Mailbox & Playdate with a Book Monday, February 11-Thursday, February 14 all day: Make a valentine for a special person and then check out a wrapped book from our display for a fun surprise! All ages.

Power Up! Gaming for Everyone Saturday, February 23 from 2:00-4:00 pm: Come play cute, colorful and cooperative games at the library! We’ll also have crafts, a photo booth and games with prizes! Ages 8-14

Mini Golf Saturday Saturday, March 9 from 6:00-7:30 pm: Drop by after hours to play our book-themed mini golf course! Enjoy retro gaming and other activities while you wait. Ages 5 and up.

Peppa the Pig Crafts Wednesday, March 20 from 10:30-11:30 am: Do you love Peppa the Pig? Drop in for Peppa the Pig crafts and fun! Ages 2 and up.

Lego Free Play Monday, March 25 from 10:30 am-12:00, drop in for ages 5 and up

Craft Days Tuesday, March 26 and Thursday March 28, drop in for crafts, all day, all ages

Family Board Game Days Wednesday, March 27, Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30, drop in to play board games in the library, all day, all ages

Music & Illustration: Bringing Stories to Life Sunday, April 7 at 3:00 pm: Enjoy the unique connection between music and stories in a live performance. Celebrated author/illustrator Brett Helquist will present two of his stories set to an original score performed by members of Portland Chamber Music. Recommended for school-age children and up.

Winter Wonderland Craft Thursday January 3 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm: Create a winter wonderland sticker scene to take home, while supplies last. Ages 3 and up.

Pool Noodle Racing Friday, January 4 from 1:00-4:00 pm: Come in and try out your racing skills! Ages 5 and up.

National Fake Mustache Day Sunday, February 24, all day, all ages: Celebrate by making a fake mustache, snap silly pictures in the photo booth, and play a finding game.

Max and Ruby Party Tuesday March 19 from 10:30 -11:30 am: Are you a fan of the Max and Ruby stories by Rosemary Wells? Come celebrate everything Max and Ruby! Ages 3-6; kids area.

Surprise Week! March 25-29 from 1:00-4:00 pm: A different craft or activity will be available in the kids area each day, for ages 3 and up.
