Cedar Mill Library is hosting free parenting events in March and April as part of our annual Parent Information SeriesThis series offers information and support from experts in the community on a variety of topics important for parents, caregivers and educators.

Join us for a Positive Parenting Meetup– an interactive playgroup and parenting class for caregivers with toddlers ages 1-3 years. We have 2 sessions- Wed, March 13 and  Sat, April 13. (Please sign up for one as they will offer the same information). Have fun with your parenting community, go home with simple tools, and get some expert advice from Positive Discipline Educator Megan Barella.

Have an elementary or middle school student struggling with mental wellness or emotional regulation?  Join us online Wed, April 17 from 6-7:30 PM for Supporting Youth Mental Health in a Post-Pandemic World for a discussion with Allan Cordova, Licensed Psychologist.

Explore what’s known (and what isn’t) about how youth mental health was impacted and evolved throughout the covid pandemic, and to what extent covid “after-shocks” are still happening. Learn about foundations and principles of mental well-being and emotion regulation, and get solutions and practical tips for supporting your child.
