Bethany Expansion Update May 2016

Future location of the Bethany Library – corner of Bethany Blvd. and Central Drive

The library has hired FFA Architecture and Design to refine plans and prepare drawings and cost estimates for the proposed expansion of the Bethany library. FFA has planned and designed many libraries including Beaverton’s Murray Scholls Branch, Forest Grove Library and other libraries in Multnomah County and Southwest Washington.

The expanded Bethany library will be a centerpiece of the final Central Bethany Development called The Plaza at Bethany Village.  We do not have a firm date when this development will break ground, but the planning needs to be completed before large scale fundraising can begin.

Many people have expressed interest in getting involved with the capital campaign and the library hopes to hold some meetings later this year to ramp up this process.
If you would like to participate or get on a list for project updates, contact Peter at Cedar Mill or Marianne at Bethany.
