"History is a living horse laughing at a wooden horse. History is a wind blowing where it listeth. History is no sure thing to bet on. History is a box of tricks with a lost key. History is a labyrinth of doors with sliding panels, a book of ciphers with the code in a cave of the Saragossa sea. History says, if it pleases, Excuse me, I beg your pardon, it will never happen again if I can help it."

—Carl Sandburg (1878-1967) American writer known for free verse, Smoke and Steel

Curious about e-books and e-readers? Want to find out more about how to download free e-books from your library?

We'll talk about the e-book as a rapidly growing format and introduce a few popular e-reading devices. We'll also demonstrate how to access free e-books from the library's website. In the hands-on portion of the workshop you'll be using your own library account to work on activities with e-books and e-readers.

Bring your own device if you have one, or come ready to try out one of ours!

Please register at the Cedar Mill Library @ Bethany circulation desk or call (503)617-7323.
