Frequently Asked Questions

OBOB is a statewide reading program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries. More on the OBOB website.
We will have the list available in the summer (or as soon as the official list is available).
We put all the OBOB titles together on a special shelf. Place holds on all the titles you need. We also offer two Kindles for 3rd-5th division and two Kindles that combine the titles from 6-8 and 9-12 divisions.
Not all the titles are available for purchase.
We schedule all our OBOB practices for Grades 3-5 during the Beaverton School District winter break.
We offer two types of OBOB practice sessions:
1.Mock Battles for 3rd and 4th graders who have never done OBOB before. Registration is required. Individuals on the same team should coordinate their registration.
2.OBOB TYK (Test Your Knowledge) for 3rd -5th graders who want to test their knowledge by answering questions. This session does not look like a battle. No registration necessary.
Yes, you can, as long as your child has never participated in the Oregon Battle of the Books before. Your child will be added to another team during our practice battle.
Due to the limited space, only registered participants can be accommodated in the room.
Every year we offer questions for 3-5 division. Some years we are able to offer questions for 6-8 division.
We publish our questions on the website as soon as we are done with the practice sessions.
We are able to offer practice sessions ONLY to participants of the 3-5 division.
