BookShare delivers books and storytimes every month to pre-school children at child care sites. This early literacy support program is made possible with the assistance of volunteers. Please ask if we have openings at this time.

BookShare Storytime Volunteer:

Storytime volunteers read children’s picture books and share stories, rhymes, and language activities at family child care sites once a month. Become part of a team of folks who share the joy of books with toddlers, preschoolers and their child care providers. All training and resources are provided.

BookShare Delivery Volunteer:

Delivers boxes of children’s picture books to child care providers every month.  You could deliver once a week, or only once a month. Helps meet the library’s goal of supporting early literacy development by bringing high quality children’s picture books to young children through their child care providers.

BookShare Check-in Volunteer:

Check-in volunteers inventory and clean boxes of books that are returned from child care sites. These good folks help make it possible for preschoolers to have children’s books available to them at their child care sites. Volunteer for 2-3 hours once a week.

BookShare Special Projects Volunteer:

Special Projects volunteers work in the library office to prepare crafts that enhance the children’s book experience.
