Book Sale

Under the direction of our book sale coordinator, a small, dedicated team of volunteers sort through donated books and library discards to give books a second chance. We sell gently used books in both libraries every day.

Support the library by buying books or by donating your gently used materials for others to enjoy.

Some facts and figures about Book Sales at CMCL:

• During the last fiscal year 6,641 donated books and media items were added to the collection which saved the library $100,189. Books that don't make it into the collection are either sold in the libraries, sold to Powell's or on Amazon. The library earned $38,974 last year from these sales which helped the library purchase more items for our users.
• The libraries accepts good quality donations during library open hours.
• Before dropping by with your donation, please take a moment to review our donation guidelines. Sadly, one-third of donations turns out to be unusable and must be discarded because of damage, highlighting or lack of relevance. The guidelines are simple and will save you a trip and help our great volunteers.
