Membership

Those who give monetary contributions to the library become supporting members of the Cedar Mill Community Library Association.

The libraries are part of the Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) which distributes Washington County funds to 12 local libraries. This funding covers only part of your library's operating costs.

How will my gift be used?

Your membership gift will be used for books and media, storytimes, helpful librarians to answer your questions, computer classes for beginners...and so many other community-building services!

Benefits of Membership

One of the benefits of joining the association is a copy of the Library News mailed to your home. (you can opt to receive via email)

You will also be eligible to serve on the library's Board of Directors and to participate in library governance. You'll receive notice of special events and your gift will be recognized in the Library News. (unless you opt to remain anonymous) 

Members who give cumulative annual donations of $250 or more are invited to recognition events and named on the donor recognition poster.

Supporting Donor Club

We invite you to join the Library’s Supporting Donor Club. This program is an easy, secure way for you to give steady support to the library via your credit card.

• Due to lower fundraising costs, more of your donation goes to support library operations: books and media, storytimes, helpful librarians to answer your questions, computer classes for beginners...and so many other community building services.
• Direct donations can be made monthly or quarterly (will be withdrawn on the 15th of the month). Minimum $10 a month or $25/quarter.
• Donations will appear on your credit card statement as they are credited and you can cancel at any time. 
• You will receive a year-end statement and, of course, your donations are tax deductible to the full extent provided by law.

Matching Gifts

The Cedar Mill Community Library Association received $9,410 in matching gifts from employers during our last fiscal year.

A Huge Thanks to the employees of the following companies for submitting matching gift forms with their library donations!

Kudos to Intel, PGE, IBM, and Esco!
Several local corporations encourage volunteering by their staff and sometimes their retirees and spouses.  Intel and Esco donate funds based on the number of volunteer hours contributed while PGE and IBM have special grant programs that their employees/volunteers can access.
